Next, the desk adjuster will call you, will ask you a few questions to verify that you are the homeowner. After that the insurance desk adjuster will either set up an appointment to come out and inspect the roof.  Recently, in the Charlotte area, the desk adjusters have been using ladder assist companies to help with the roof inspections.  This is normal. The desk adjuster may tell you that they are sending your information to a ladder assist company, and they will reach out to schedule a date and time to inspect your roof.  It is important for you to notify the roofer when the desk adjuster comes so that the roofing company is also present. Finally, after the inspection, the desk adjuster will get the report and they will do one of 3 things. They will pay for a new roof, they will pay for a repair, or they will deny the roof.  In my next blog we will talk about the 3 options and what happens with each option.
